    제5차 6자회담 1단계회의가 2005.11.9-11간 북경에서 개최되었다.  관련국들은 진지하고, 실용적이며, 건설적인 토의를 가졌으며, 제4차 6자회담 공동성명 이행 방안에 관한 제안들을 제시하였다. 

    관련국들은 검증 가능한 한반도 비핵화를 조속히 실현하고 한반도 및 동북아의 항구적인 평화와 안정에 기여하기 위하여 ‘공약 대 공약’, ‘행동 대 행동’ 원칙에 따라 공동성명을 전면적으로 이행할 것임을 재확인하였다.

    관련국들은 신뢰구축을 통해 공동성명을 포괄적으로 이행하고, 다양한 분야에서의 모든 공약들을 실천하고, 시의적절하고 조율된 방식에 따라 이행 과정을 개시하고 완결지으며, 협력을 통해 균형된 이익과 모두가 승자가 되는 결과를 성취할 의지가 있음을 강조하였다.

    관련국들은 상기 언급된 정신에 따라 공동성명 이행을 위한 구체적인 계획, 조치 및 순서들을 만들기로 합의하였다.

    관련국들은 제5차 6자회담 2단계회의를 가능한 가장 빠른 일자에 개최키로 합의하였다.

Chairman's Statement

11 November 2005

    The First Session of the Fifth Round of the Six-Party Talks was held in Beijing from November 9^th to 11^th, 2005. The Parties conducted serious, pragmatic and constructive discussions and put forward proposals on how to implement the Joint Statement of the Fourth Round of the Six-Party Talks.

    The Parties reaffirmed that they would fully implement the Joint Statement in line with the principle of "commitment for commitment, action for action", so as to realize the verifiable denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula at an early date and contribute to lasting peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia.

    The Parties emphasized that they are willing to comprehensively implement the Joint Statement through confidence building, carry out all commitments in different areas, commence and conclude the process in a timely and coordinated manner and achieve balanced interests and win-win result through cooperation.

    The Parties agreed to formulate concrete plans, measures and steps to fulfill the Joint Statement in accordance with the afore-mentioned spirit.

    The Parties agreed to hold the Second Session of the Fifth Round of the Six-Party Talks at the earliest possible date.
